New Booking Request

CargoSmart allows you to create and submit a booking request to your carrier through the following methods:

Tips: Only users with booking rights as assigned by the company Administrator have access to this function.

Currently, CargoSmart only supports booking requests with general and reefer cargo type and full container load.

CargoSmart provides a booking request receipt after your booking request is submitted. The key information this receipt contains is the booking number from the carrier, CargoSmart booking status, and pending reason if the booking is pended.

Create from Booking Template

CargoSmart allows users with booking rights the ability to save and share booking templates with other company users. You may create a new booking request from your own template, a shared company template, or a shared associate company template if your associate has elected to share booking templates with your company through the Relationship Manager.

Tip: Associate company's templates are only available if the Administrator of an associate company has granted sharing rights to your company on one or more booking templates.

You can submit bookings based upon existing shipment records within CargoSmart.

From Shipment Details by booking number:

Create from Booking Drafts

CargoSmart allows you to save a draft of a new booking request. You may retrieve, edit and submit drafts as new booking requests.
