Process Sea Waybills

If your company administrator has granted you access to process sea waybill in your user profile, you will be able to perform the following actions on the sea waybill document:

CargoSmart has a set of predefined rules that governs what actions are available to the user for sea waybills. For more information, please refer to Bill of Lading Actions Available.

View/Print Sea Waybill (Standard Print)

When a sea waybill is received from the carrier, CargoSmart will send an e-mail to all the users of a company receiving the bill of lading who have Sea Waybill rights to notify them that a new sea waybill is ready for further processing.
 

You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer in order to view individual documents when using Standard Print.

Tips: As a reminder, always view the document before you request changes or print the document.

You should select the Refresh button to refresh the Bill of Lading Internet Processing screen after you have performed an action.  

For all selected documents, Batch Printing requires that the B/L paper size match. For individual and Batch Printing options for Sea Waybill (Limited Regions), Carrier Stationery is available. For individual and Batch Printing options for Sea Waybill, you can choose either Plain Paper or Carrier Stationery

Actions available are dependent on the individual document status. For example, when all the documents from the uploaded set has been printed, the Print and Batch Print Actions will no longer appear for the selected document.

When a sea waybill is received from the carrier, CargoSmart will send an e-mail to all the users of a company receiving the bill of lading who have Sea Waybill rights to notify them that a new sea waybill is ready for further processing.
 

You must have Trustcopy TrustBLPrint installed on your computer in order to view individual documents when using Secure Print.
 

Availability of Actions, including Print, is determined by document status.

Tips: For all selected documents, Batch Printing requires that the B/L Format printing options and paper size match. For individual and Batch Printing options, you can choose either Plain Stationery or Carrier Stationery.

Actions available are dependent on individual document status. For example when all the documents from the uploaded set has been printed, the Print and Batch Print Actions will no longer appear for the selected document. Always refresh the screen after printing.

Filter by Party/Vessel Voyage

If you wish to sort your search results by Party or Vessel Voyage, you can choose from one of the following filter options:

From the Search Results:

Tip: The Filter by option is set to All Documents by default.

Request Change to Sea Waybill

You can request changes to be made to the contents of the sea waybill and submit it to the carrier. The carrier will prepare a new version of the sea waybill and send it to CargoSmart.

You may perform multiple change requests on the same version of a sea waybill.

The Print or the Request Reprint and the Request Additional Prints actions will be removed after you have submitted a change request.

You should select the Refresh button to refresh the Bill of Lading Internet Processing screen after you have performed an action.

Request Reprint of Sea Waybill (Limited Regions)

You can request a reprint of the Sea Waybill (Limited Regions) from the carrier. The carrier will upload a new version of the same sea waybill to CargoSmart.

You can only perform the Request Reprint action once for the same version of a Sea Waybill (Limited Regions).

You should select the Refresh button to refresh the Bill of Lading Internet Processing screen after you have performed an action.  

Request Additonal Prints of Sea Waybill

You can request additional prints of the Sea Waybill from the carrier. The carrier will review your request and upload the same version and type of the Sea Waybill to CargoSmart.

You can perform Request Additional Prints more than once and at any given time after the document is uploaded.
