Process Original Bills of Lading

If your company Administrator has granted you access to process original bill of lading in your user profile, you will be able to perform the following actions on the original bill of lading document:

CargoSmart has a set of predefined rules that governs what actions are available to the user for original bills of lading. For more information, please refer to Bill of Lading Actions Available.

View/Print Original Bill of Lading (Standard Print)

When an original bill of lading is received from the carrier, CargoSmart will send an e-mail to all the users of a company receiving the bill of lading who have Original Bill of Lading rights to notify them that a new original bill of lading is ready for further processing.
 

You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer in order to view individual documents when using Standard Print.

Tips: As a reminder, always view the document first before you request changes or print the document.

You should select the Refresh button to refresh the Bill of Lading Internet Processing screen after you have performed an action.  

For all selected documents, Batch Printing requires that the B/L Format printing options and paper size match. For individual and Batch Printing options, Carrier Stationery is available.

To print the B/L document successfully, the number entered in the specify prints column should be equal to or less than the number displayed in the available prints column.

Actions available are dependent on the individual document status. For example, when all the documents from the uploaded set has been printed, the Print and Batch Print Actions will no longer appear for the selected document.

View/Print Original Bill of Lading (Secure Print)

When an original bill of lading is received from the carrier, CargoSmart will send an e-mail to all the users of a company receiving the bill of lading who have Original Bill of Lading rights to notify them that a new original bill of lading is ready for further processing.  
 

You must have Trustcopy TrustBLPrint installed on your computer in order to view individual documents when using Secure Print.
 

Availability of Actions, including Print, is determined by document status.

Tips: For all selected documents, Batch Printing requires that the B/L Format printing options and paper size match. For individual and Batch Printing, you can use Blank Paper or Carrier Stationery.

Filter by Party/Vessel Voyage

If you wish to sort your search results by Party or Vessel Voyage, you can choose from one of the following filter options:

From the Search Results:

Tip: The Filter by option is set to All Documents by default.

Request Change to Original Bill of Lading

You can request changes to be made to the contents of the original bill of lading and submit it to the carrier. The carrier will prepare a new version of the original bill of lading and send it to CargoSmart.

You may perform multiple change requests on the same version of an original bill of lading.

The Print or the Request Reprint actions will be removed after you have submitted a change request.

You should select the Refresh button to refresh the Bill of Lading Internet Processing screen after you have performed an action.

Request Reprint of Original Bill of Lading

After you have verified the contents of a draft Bill of Lading, you may accept the draft bill of lading and instruct the carrier to prepare an original bill of lading.

You can only perform the Request Reprint action once for the same version of an original bill of lading.
